Pilot Study Basics
2018-2019
My time in the Pilot Program has been and will be spent doing the following:
- Studying Personal Training, Exercise Science, and Sports Nutrition.
- Studying technical guitar basics and theory.
- Exploring guitar and music through a personal study.
- Applying and preparing for college/life after high school.
Quarter 1
The unconventional nature of my high school experience has been hugely beneficial for me. Beginning in an athletic academy and ending out of one. At times I’ve been pushed so far to the point of physical failure, and at times I’ve felt an absence so large that it has been mentally crippling. Through these times and with the help of great, caring, intelligent, and supportive people I have learned to look inward and grow from all of my experiences, be them bleak or overwhelming. Pilot hase forced me to grow tremendously as a person. Nothing forces someone to learn about themselves more than independence, and for most of my teenage developmental years, I have adapted to a 24/7 social environment. I am beyond grateful to be in The Pilot because it has allowed me to throw myself so far into the other direction that I feel like I am learning how to learn all over again.
